University of Bergen: Faculty of Arts: Ph.D. Research School

How to submit an abstract

All abstracts should be structured as to include a discussion of the following issues:

What is the research problem?

How is it currently being dealt with in the literature?
What is your solution to the problem? Are you challenging or supporting earlier views?

How does your contribution add to what has already been said in the field?

All examples should be numbered consistently, and examples from languages not generally known to the audience must be glossed word-by-word and given an idiomatic translation. The abstract should not supersede one page in length and be submitted anonymously to doktorandkonferanse@uib.no, preferably in PDF-format, by March 1, 2009.

We look forward to receiving your abstract!
