National Master Classes

National master classes are specialised dissertation seminars where PhD candidates get feedback on their work from an expert in the field. Each master class is led by one or more experienced researchers with relevant expertise ("masters").

The Research School invites PhD candidates from all over the country to attend the master classes. Candidates who wish to participate in a master class should send a summary (max. one page) of the topic and the research problems he or she wishes to present to coordinator Eva Thue Vold. As soon as an experienced researcher has agreed to serve as master, the candidate should send a text of about 25-40 pages (depending on the type of material) to the master (at the latest 4 weeks prior to the master class). The coordinator will distribute the text to other participants about 10 days before the event.
