The main goal of
the Ph.D. Research
School at
the Faculty of Arts, University of Bergen, is to:

improve the graduation rate of the Faculty's Ph.D. program |
The Research
School is directed by Prof. Øivin Andersen, Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies, and Assoc. Prof. Kari Haugland, Department of Foreign Languages. An advisory committee has also been appointed, consisting of representatives from the areas
of linguistics and language studies. The coordinator of the Research
School is Martin Paulsen, Department of Foreign Languages.
The Research School started operating in October 2004 and offers a program
based on a flexible yearly cycle.
The Research School has been established for the Ph.D. candidates in Linguistics
and Philology at the University of Bergen but welcomes Ph.D.
candidates from other educational centres if space permits.
